Member Guest Booking at Fanling
Club to introduce temporary policy of one playing guest per member per day on weekdays at Fanling from 5 March 2020.
In light of the exceptionally high demand for tee times at Fanling, coupled with our desire to accommodate more members on the courses than we are currently able to, Club Management, following consultation with the General Committee, will temporarily limit the number of playing guests that members (and spouse members) can introduce on any given weekday from three to one.
This measure will go into effect from Thursday 5 March 2020 and will be in place until Thursday 30 April 2020, subject to a review of the situation at the appropriate time.
The guest fees remains unchanged at HK$550 (concessionary) and HK$1,100 per round. No walk-in guests will be entertained.
Please note there are no changes to the number of overseas playing guests that members can introduce on weekends and public holidays, which remains at six per month. Similarly, there are no changes to the number of playing guests that can be introduced at Deep Water Bay.
Furthermore, Full/Nominee members will continue to be able to introduce up to three Hong Kong residents on Local Guest Days (on specified Sundays and Public Holidays) during this period.
We would like to thank you for your understanding at this time.
Accompanying guests at all times
We would also like to take this opportunity to kindly remind all members that they are responsible for their guests’ conduct and are required to accompany their guests while they are using the Clubhouse facilities or playing on the courses.
To this end, guests will not be able to use the driving range or other practice facilities until a member signs them in and they have received their green fee ticket.
When making tee time arrangements, please ensure that the names of the players in your group, including your guest, are correct as guests will be asked for these details upon entry to the Club.
We would be grateful if you can communicate this necessary and important information to your guest ahead of their next visit to the Club.
Coronavirus measures update
Since the start of the Coronavirus outbreak earlier this year, the Club has introduced a number of precautionary measures to minimise the risk of infection. These have included temperature checking everyone entering both Deep Water Bay and Fanling in addition to asking anyone who has visited mainland China in the past 14 days or who are experiencing flu-like symptoms to refrain from using any of the Club’s facilities including the courses. This advisory is now extended to anyone who has visited South Korea in the past 14 days.
The Club continues to closely monitor the situation and is ready to adopt further measures following any relevant Government announcements.
We kindly ask everyone who visits the Club to take heed of personal hygiene and to wash their hands regularly. Hand sanitizers are available throughout the Club for member use.
Car park labels
Finally, we would like to appeal to all members to not give or lend their Club car park labels to anyone else. These permits are for the exclusive use of our members and are only to be used with vehicles that have been pre-registered with the Club.
Thank you once again for your attention and we look forward to seeing you at the Club soon.
